What to study?
Arts/humanities degrees in Victoria are offered by all the main universities (always check VTAC and university websites for latest information, as courses can change):
Increasingly, a lot of Bachelor of Arts students combine this degree with another (called a 'double degree', available in some universities), or choose to pursue further graduate studies (Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Masters) to specialise and/or obtain specific skills in an occupational area.
If interested in an Arts degree, you should research different universities to find out what majors they offer (main subject areas), opportunities to undertake volunteering, internship or work placements as part of the degree, the addition of a foreign language, and so on. Different universities have different structures.
The videos below describe the Bachelor of Arts available at two Victorian universities. Watch them to find out the various majors and career fields a Bachelor of Arts can take you.
